Benedetta Moresco recorded her first career hole-in-one on the LPGA Tour during Saturday’s second round of the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G.
The 25-year-old aced the par-3 sixth hole at Pinnacle Country Club, using an 8-iron from 132 yards into a pin set slightly forward from the official card yardage of 143 yards.
"I hit an 8-iron with a little bit of a draw," Moresco said. "I saw it get close and then I didn't real see it go in, but I saw the people cheering, so I was like, whoo, let's go."
The ace highlights a colorful second-round scorecard for Moresco, who posted a 2-under-par 69 that included five birdies, a bogey, and two double bogeys alongside the hole-in-one. Moresco has made eight cuts in 15 LPGA Tour starts in 2026.
"It helped a lot," Moresco said of the momentum provided by the ace. "I was waiting for a moment where it would click and get into the pace. That definitely helped. I didn't finish strong, but still, it was a good round with a lot of positives."
Beyond her scorecard, Moresco’s hole-in-one triggered a $20,000 donation made on her behalf to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by CME Group through the CME Group Cares Challenge – Score 1 for St. Jude.
The season-long charitable campaign converts every ace on the LPGA Tour into funding for childhood cancer treatment and research. Moresco's hole-in-one marks the 18th donation to St. Jude this season, raising the total contribution to $360,000.
