Yuri Yoshida of Japan is showered with champagne on the 18th green after her win following the final round of the BMW Ladies Championship 2026 at Pine Beach Golf Links on October 25, 2026 in Haenam, South Korea.

Yuri Yoshida staged a dramatic final-round surge at Pine Beach Golf Links, coming from four shots off the lead to fire a 4-under 68 and capture her first LPGA Tour title by a single stroke over Haeran Ryu and Hye-Jin Choi.
Yoshida’s breakthrough performance capped a week of low scores and clutch putting in the Republic of Korea. From viral moments across social media to key statistics down the stretch, here is what you might have missed from the 2026 BMW Ladies Championship:
Yuri Yoshida Wins BMW Ladies Championship for First LPGA Tour Victory
Yuri Yoshida came from four shots back in the final round to capture her first LPGA Tour title at the BMW Ladies Championship, defeating Haeran Ryu and Hye-Jin Choi by a single stroke.
The Japanese golfer posted a 4-under 68 in Sunday's final round at Pine Beach Golf Links, finishing with a 17-under-par total of 271. Yoshida consistency showed throughout the tournament, carding four consecutive rounds in the 60s (66-69-68-68) to become one of only two players in the field to achieve the feat.
Starting the day trailing the leaders, Yoshida made her move early by firing a bogey-free 31 on the front nine. Her final-round performance was anchored by precise driving, hitting every fairway on Sunday while racking up four birdies and an eagle against just two bogeys.
“It’s a special moment for me, and actually, I was nervous,” Yoshida said after her breakthrough victory. “But at this moment, I’m really happy.”
With the win, Yoshida becomes the first player from Japan to win the BMW Ladies Championship and the first player ever to record their maiden LPGA Tour victory at the event. She is the fourth Rolex First-Time Winner on the LPGA Tour this season—joining Gina Kim, Yana Wilson, and Yuna Nishimura—and the second first-time winner from Japan alongside Nishimura.
Yoshida, who turned professional in 2019 and previously recorded four wins on the JLPGA Tour, earned her LPGA Tour status by finishing tied for seventh at the 2023 LPGA Q-Series. Her victory caps an impressive stretch during her 2026 campaign, where she has made 12 cuts in 25 starts while adding a runner-up finish at the CPKC Women's Open and a T10 finish at the Buick LPGA Shanghai.

Haeran Ryu, Hye-Jin Choi Tie for Second at BMW Ladies Championship
Haeran Ryu and Hye-Jin Choi both finished one shot shy of victory Sunday at the BMW Ladies Championship, tying for second place at 16-under par 272 at Pine Beach Golf Links.
Ryu, who entered the final round holding the 54-hole lead, closed with a 1-over 73 — her only round above 70 during the tournament. She went into the week having won each of the previous three times she held or shared the 54-hole lead on the LPGA Tour but struggled down the stretch on Sunday.
After opening with 15 consecutive pars, Ryu made a bogey on the par-4 16th hole, bounced back with a birdie at the 17th, and then closed with another bogey on the par-5 18th. Despite the tough finish, Ryu led the field in greens in regulation for the week, hitting 66 of 72, and tied for the fewest total bogeys with just three.
The runner-up finish caps off an impressive season for Ryu, who has made the cut in 15 of 16 starts and accumulated 11 top-10 finishes, highlighted by two major championship victories at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and The Amundi Evian Championship.
Choi posted a final-round 3-under 69, collecting four birdies against a single bogey. She played her final 15 holes bogey-free to stay in contention until the final putt. Choi ranked among the top 10 in the field in both birdies (21) and greens hit in regulation (62 of 72) over the four days.
For Choi, the performance marks her second straight runner-up result in as many weeks and her third of the season. She has now made the cut in 19 of 24 starts this year, securing six top-10 finishes.
Both Republic of Korea stars finished one stroke behind champion Yuri Yoshida of Japan, who closed with a 68 to win her first LPGA Tour title at 17-under 271.
One hole-in-one at the BMW Ladies Championship generated a $20,000 donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, pushing the LPGA Tour's season-long charitable contribution to $460,000 for childhood cancer treatment and research.
Andrea Lee recorded a hole-in-one Friday during the second round at Pine Beach Golf Links.
Lee aced the 122-yard eighth hole using a 9-iron for her first hole-in-one during competition. Lee’s previous hole-in-one came three or four years ago in the pro-am at the LPGA Shanghai, where the prize was a toy Buick.
