012년 전 '0점 참사' 딛고 4전 전승…린 그란트의 화려한 부활
2년 전 솔하임컵에서 단 1점도 따내지 못하며 자존심을 구겼던 린 그란트(스웨덴)가 완벽한 부활극을 썼다. 그란트는 네덜란드 크롬뷔르트의 베르나르두스 골프장에서 열린 2026 솔하임컵에서 스웨덴 동료 마야 스타크와 합을 맞춰 포섬과 포볼 경기를 싹쓸이한 데 이어, 마지막 날 단식 매치까지 제압하며 4전 전승 대기록을 달성했다.

Two years after leaving the Solheim Cup without a single point, Linn Grant engineered one of the most remarkable turnarounds in event history, teaming with fellow Swede Maja Stark to lead Team Europe to victory with a perfect 4-0 record.
Grant capped her dominant week by securing her first career Solheim Cup singles win, defeating American Angel Yin 4 and 3.
"Very nice," Grant said. "I mean, obviously I wanted to play with Angel going into the week in the singles and got to do that. I think it's hard to kind of beat someone when you're having a good time together out there."
The victory completed an impressive bounce-back from her 0-4 performance in 2024. Grant became the first player in Solheim Cup history to earn at least four points in a single tournament following a zero-point appearance. She also joined Caroline Hedwall (2013), Sophie Gustafson (2011), Celine Boutier (2019), and Georgia Hall (2019) as the only European players to go 4-0-0 or better in a single edition.
A key factor in Grant’s perfect week was her pairing with Stark. The close friends ignited Team Europe during team play, opening Friday morning foursomes with a 3-and-2 victory over Rose Zhang and Jennifer Kupcho. After sitting out Friday afternoon, the pair swept Saturday's sessions by topping Allisen Corpuz and Nelly Korda 3 and 2 in morning foursomes and holding off Megan Khang and Lauren Coughlin 2 and 1 in afternoon four-ball.
"I think we've just had a blast on the course, to be honest," Grant said. "Very happy that Maja and I got to play together. So thanks, Anna. It's just been so much fun... There's been really no pressure and I think that's why we also just played so well this week."
Stark credited the seamless chemistry between the two for their joint success.
"It was honestly just so special, and it felt like for Anna, it was a no-brainer to put us together," Stark said. "That is a really cool feeling that you have a person like this on your team that you know you can just go out and you know them inside and out and their game."
Not only did the chemistry between the European duo, but a home-team advantage also provided strong momentum for Team Europe throughout the week.
"I think it's for sure our 13th player out there," Grant said. "I think it makes a huge difference when you play over in Europe or over in the U.S., for sure."
Grant also praised European captain Anna Nordqvist following the hard-fought victory over the U.S. Team.
"I think she's done such a good job with this week and going into this week as well," Grant said. "I think I couldn't ask for a better captain, probably. And just to get my four points this week, I'm really happy and I hope she feels good about that too."
The four points bring Grant's overall Solheim Cup record to 7-6-0 across three appearances.
