Ina Yoon of South Korea reacts as she walks the 10th hole during the second round of the LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei 2026 at Hoakalei Country Club on October 02, 2026 in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.

Ina Yoon answered a double bogey on the third hole with five birdies on the back nine Friday, shooting a 5-under 67 in the second round of the LOTTE Championship presented by Hoakalei.

The 23-year-old from the Republic of Korea moved to 11-under 133 through 36 holes at Hoakalei Country Club. Yoon began the day tied for second after an opening 6-under 66.

Yoon started with birdies on Nos. 1 and 2, but the double bogey at the par-4 third cost her momentum. She settled in with pars on Nos. 4-7, birdied the par-4 eighth to gain some momentum before the turn.

The back nine was where she made her move. Yoon birdied the par-4 10th and the par-5 11th, then the par-4 13th. She later added birdies at the par-3 15th and the par-4 16th to reach 11-under. She closed with a back-nine 31.

"At the time it was really hard to control. I was so mad at myself," Yoon said of the double bogey. "Thankfully, I made many birdies after that. My shot was great today."

She needed only 26 putts and credited her iron play, particularly with the shorter clubs. Yoon said she gave herself plenty of looks from close range and converted them.

"I made a lot of chances inside nine feet, and I made many short putts," she said. "So I think that's how I got many birdies."

Yoon is seeking her first LPGA Tour victory. She has made 14 cuts in 17 starts this season and has five top-10 finishes: a tie for sixth at the Ford Championship presented by Wild Horse Pass, a solo fourth at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro, a tie for fifth at The Chevron Championship, a tie for seventh at the Dow Championship and a solo second at the KPMG Women's PGA Championship.

With 36 holes remaining, Yoon said she plans to keep her approach the same.

"Try not to think about score or place," she said. "I put my place in a good spot. Just do the same thing."

The final two rounds of the 72-hole event continue through Sunday at Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach, Oahu.
