01셰인 로리, 11타 차 압도적 우승으로 아일랜드 오픈 평정
아일랜드의 골프 영웅 셰인 로리가 고국 팬들 앞에서 압도적인 경기력을 선보이며 DP월드투어 암젠 아일랜드 오픈 정상에 올랐다. 로리는 아일랜드 둔베그의 트럼프 인터내셔널 골프 링크스에서 열린 대회 최종일 4라운드에서 보기 없이 버디만 9개를 낚아채며 9언더파 63타를 몰아쳤다. 최종합계 23언더파를 기록한 로리는 공동 2위 그룹을 무려 11타 차로 제치고 우승 트로피를 들어 올렸다.
이번 우승은 로리에게 매우 특별한 의미를 가진다. 지난 2009년 아마추어 신분으로 카운티 라우스에서 열린 아일랜드 오픈을 제패하며 스타덤에 올랐던 로리는 17년 만에 다시 고국 땅에서 두 번째 아일랜드 오픈 우승컵을 품에 안았다. 또한 이번 11타 차 우승은 1987년 베른하르트 랑거가 포트마녹 골프 클럽에서 세웠던 대회 최다 타수 차 우승 기록을 경신한 역사적인 신기록이다.

패트릭 리드(미국)와 호아킨 니만(칠레)이 최종합계 12언더파로 공동 2위에 올랐으나 로리의 독주를 막기에는 역부족이었다. 로리는 우승 직후 인터뷰에서 "올해 골프가 잘 풀리지 않아 힘든 시간을 보냈는데, 고국에서 이런 특별한 주말을 보내게 되어 꿈만 같다"며 "매번 트로피를 언제 가져오냐고 묻던 딸과 변함없이 응원해 준 가족들에게 이 영광을 돌린다"고 감격스러운 소감을 밝혔다.

Shane Lowry stormed to his second Amgen Irish Open success after making history with a record 11-shot triumph at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel, Ireland, Doonbeg.
The 39-year-old took control following a course-record 62 on Friday and he put the pedal to the floor on Sunday after earning a four-shot lead into the final round.
Birdies at the first, fifth, seventh and eighth saw him extend his advantage to seven at the turn as the rest of the field fought for the runner-up spot behind the 2019 Open Championship winner.
Four further gains saw him finish with a superb 63 and a 23-under-par total as he added more home soil glory following his memorable victory as an amateur in 2009 at County Louth.
Patrick Reed and Joaquin Niemann were his closest rivals at 12 under as Lowry eclipsed the largest margin of victory at this event set by Bernhard Langer at Portmarnock Golf Club in 1987 with a 29-foot birdie at the last.
"This year has been quite difficult on the course for me, I had a few chances to win and had some really tough times," he said.

"To come here this week and do this, I don't do things by half measures. I can't believe I'm standing here with that leaderboard.
"A lot of things went right for me, but this has been the most spectacular week. Just everything about it, it's just mad. I can't believe it.
"When things aren't going well at this level, it's hard at home as well and my wife and kids have been a huge support and I love them so much. I'm so happy, this is for them.
"I can't wait to bring a trophy home, my daughter keeps asking 'when will you bring a trophy home?'. So yes, I can bring one home.
"Honestly I'm speechless, it's hard to talk, I just can't believe I've just done that and done it the way I've done it as well."
Lowry sent a statement at the first with a 16-foot birdie - his tenth one-putt in a row - and when Jacob Skov Olesen bogeyed the next, the Irishman led by six.
The final group parred the next two holes, but Lowry's advantage continued to grow when he rolled in another birdie at the fifth to reach 18 under.
Momentum was clearly with the home favourite and although he was on the fringe at the par-three seventh, Lowry drained the 43-foot putt for only the third birdie on the hole on Sunday.
Olesen could only par the next six holes after an opening bogey, and he was soon replaced as the leader's nearest rival thanks to Reed's birdie blitz.
The American, who leads the Race to Dubai Rankings delivered by DP World, birdied the third, fourth, sixth, eighth and ninth and tenth to climb up to 12 under.

He still remained seven shots back, but only for a matter of minutes as Lowry added another gain at the eighth to become the first player at 20 under.
Lowry finished his front nine with only his sixth dropped shot of the week, however, he bounced back with a tap-in birdie at the tenth to regain his eight-shot lead.
It soon became ten in front thanks to a brilliant tee-shot into the par-three 14th for another birdie before adding a 44-foot effort from the fringe at the next.
The World Number 53 finished with a magical putt at the last to complete a brilliant triumph on home soil.
Reed could not add to his early burst as he parred his final eight holes to finish on 12 under, with Niemann mixing four birdies and a dropped shot to also reach that mark.
Denmark's Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen hit an eagle and five birdies in his blemish-free 63 to sit in solo fourth at 11 under.
Italian Gregorio De Leo was also flawless in his 63 to sit one shot back with Tom McKibbin, while England's Alex Fitpatrick and Olesen shared seventh at nine under and Scotland's Ewen Ferguson and Swede Jens Dantorp were a stroke further adrift.
As well as a seventh DP World Tour crown, Lowry also took home $30,000 for the Course Record presented by Nexo with his eight-under-par 62 in round two.
