Andrea Lee recorded a hole-in-one on the LPGA Tour during Friday’s second round of the BMW Ladies Championship.

The American aced the par-3 8th hole at Pine Beach Golf Links in Haenam-gun, Republic of Korea, using a choked-down 9-iron from 122 yards to the pin.

“It honestly came when I least expected it,” Lee said. “I wasn’t even looking at the car. I just wanted to hit a good shot, and somehow it went in. No one even screamed at the green. It was like the most quiet hole-in-one I’ve ever hit.”

Lee said she was between a full pitching wedge and a 9-iron, and with little wind behind her, she took a club length off the grip.

“As soon as it landed, I was like, oh, that has a chance, and it disappeared,” Lee said. “Everyone was quiet. I was like, did it go in?”

The ace highlights a 6-under 66 for Lee, who carded six birdies and two bogeys alongside the hole-in-one. She is T64 at even par through two rounds.

Lee’s previous hole-in-one came three or four years ago in the pro-am at the LPGA Shanghai, where the prize was a toy Buick.

“I was like, I don’t want this. I want the real thing,” Lee said. “So I got the real thing today.”

Lee was a member of this year’s U.S. Team at the Solheim Cup. Her best finish of the 2026 season is a T10 at the HSBC Women’s World Championship. She also leads the LPGA Tour in drive accuracy at 83.60%.

Beyond her scorecard, Lee’s hole-in-one triggered a $20,000 donation made on her behalf to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by CME Group through the CME Group Cares Challenge – Score 1 for St. Jude.

“CME does so much for this tour, and we really appreciate all the support,” Lee said. “I’m just really glad that I could be a really small part of it and make a hole-in-one and add 20k to the pot.”

The season-long charitable campaign converts every ace on the LPGA Tour into funding for childhood cancer treatment and research. Lee’s hole-in-one marks the 23rd donation to St. Jude this season, raising the total contribution to $460,000.
