When LPGA Tour rookie Nastasia Nadaud began her 2026 season competing in the Solheim Cup felt like a distant dream. Nine months later, the 21-year-old captain’s pick delivered a star performance for Team Europe, securing three points and writing her name into the tournament record books.

Nadaud posted a 3-1-0 record for European Captain Anna Nordqvist, helping propel her team behind a sensational rookie campaign. With her third point of the weekend, she became the sixth-youngest player in Solheim Cup history to earn three or more points in a single event, joining an elite group that includes Paula Creamer, Charley Hull, Michelle Wie, and Rose Zhang. At 21 years and nine months old, Nadaud proved her selection was far more than a gamble.

"It's been insane that rise into, let's say, a year from then. It's just been, like, everything just happened so fast," Nadaud said. "Even, like, three, four months ago if someone told me I was playing the Solheim Cup, I would have said, 'Absolutely not.' And now getting three points for Europe is just absolutely crazy. Got no words for that."

Nadaud's historic performance was anchored by an unlikely pairing with fellow European rookie Mimi Rhodes. The duo notched a four-ball victory on Friday afternoon before following it up with a foursomes victory on Saturday. In doing so, Nadaud and Rhodes became the first rookie pair in Solheim Cup history to win two matches together, boosting the record of all-rookie European duos to 5-3-1 since 2019.

The breakout international performance comes on the heels of a steady inaugural year on the LPGA Tour for Nadaud, who made 14 cuts in 18 starts leading up to the matches. As one of the youngest players on the European roster, Nadaud quickly transformed from a surprise captain's pick into one of the top performers of the 2026 European squad.
