Yin finished with an 11-under 277 total following rounds of 68, 74, 67, and 68 at Sheshan Golf Course. She played her final 36 holes in 9-under par to pull away on a challenging track.
"I think this tournament means everything to me, especially to be able to win in front of all my family, all my friends, and all those incredible fans," Yin said. "Yeah, it's a dream come true again."
Yin made five birdies against a single bogey in her final round, making two critical birdies over her final three holes to take total control of the leaderboard. She hit 55 of 72 greens in regulation to lead the field for the week and tied for the tournament lead with 18 total birdies alongside Amy Yang and Alison Lee.
The victory marks Yin’s second straight start on the LPGA Tour with a title, coming off a win at the FM Championship in her previous appearance.
With the triumph, Yin became just the second two-time winner of the Buick LPGA Shanghai, joining Danielle Kang (2018, 2019). She also remains the only player from the People's Republic of China to win the event. Additionally, Yin joined Jeeno Thitikul, who won the 2026 Honda LPGA Thailand, as the only players outside the United States to win on home soil this season.
Players faced demanding conditions all week at Sheshan Golf Course, which Yin noted played long and tough.
"I think the difficulty is it's pretty close to a major," Yin said. "And before the week I was talking to my team and I was like, maybe 10-under, 12-under can win this thing. I'm just glad that it's me again."
