Team Europe made a surge during Saturday morning's foursomes matches, winning three of four to build a 7-5 lead. However, the Americans staged an afternoon rally in four-ball to bring the overall score to an 8-8 tie heading into Sunday singles.
Sunday's final round delivered another exciting day of competition, with Europe earning seven points in singles play to reach the winning 15-point threshold.
Lottie Woad's point against Auston Kim nudged the total to 14 points before Solheim Cup veteran Carlota Ciganda sealed the decisive 15th point for the home squad with a 4-and-2 win over Jennifer Kupcho, putting the finishing touch on a memorable European triumph.

Angela Stanford Sees Broader Victory for Women’s Golf at 2026 Solheim Cup
Angela Stanford reflected on the broader growth of women’s golf
following the 2026 matches at Bernardas Golf, emphasizing media coverage over lineup decisions.
While questions may linger regarding her lineup order and team pairings, Stanford focused on the sport's expanding reach.
"Thank y'all so much for covering us this week. I think the only way we continue to grow is if you guys keep writing about us and covering us, so really appreciate everything," Stanford said. "And, you know, I know social media's been on fire this week and that's good for women's golf. So really appreciate y'all being here."
Stanford also acknowledged the travel commitment required from state-side media attending European host venues.
"I think sometimes the European Solheim Cups, you're having to travel quite a ways from America, for the American writers and TV people," Stanford said. "So thank you for making the effort. It really does matter and I appreciate it."
