Hye-Jin Choi shot a 3-under 69 in the final round of the BMW Ladies Championship on Sunday at Pine Beach Golf Links, finishing tied for second at 16-under 272. Yuri Yoshida won the tournament at 17-under 271, one stroke ahead of Choi and Haeran Ryu.
Choi began the day tied for second at 13-under 203. A bogey on the par-3 third hole slowed her early, but she answered with birdies on the par-5 sixth and par-3 eighth to turn in 1-under 35. She added two more birdies on the back nine, at the 11th and 13th, to reach 16-under and put herself within one shot of the lead. She finished with four birdies, one bogey and 13 pars, but could not find the one extra birdie that would have forced a playoff.
Her ball-striking was a strength all week. Choi hit 12 of 14 fairways and 15 of 18 greens in regulation Sunday, averaging 239.0 yards off the tee. She ranks eighth on the LPGA Tour in strokes gained total this season at 1.51 and jumped up three spots with this finish in the Race to the CME Globe.
The finish is Choi’s third runner-up of the season, following a second-place showing at the Dow Championship, where she teamed with Hyo Joo Kim, and a solo second at the Buick LPGA Shanghai last weekend. It also marks her sixth top-10 finish of 2026, along with a T8 at the Honda LPGA Thailand, a T5 at the Blue Bay LPGA and a T3 at the Mizuho Americas Open. She has made 18 cuts in 23 starts.
Choi, 27, a member of the LPGA Tour since 2022, is still seeking her first LPGA Tour victory.
