– Bay Area golf fans, the world’s best golfers are coming back this spring! Tickets are now on sale for the LPGA Tour’s 2027 Fortinet Founders Cup. From April 1-4, the 2027 Fortinet Founders Cup will feature a field list of 144 LPGA Tour athletes, and fans will have an incredible opportunity to witness world-class competition at Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club while experiencing family-friendly activities for fans of all ages outside the ropes.
The 2027 tournament marks the 16th edition of the Fortinet Founders Cup, which celebrates the LPGA’s 13 Founding Members, who established the Association in 1950, and the legacy of the pioneers who continue to inspire the next generation. Previously held at venues across Arizona, Florida and New Jersey, the event consistently attracted top talent from across the LPGA Tour. Past winners include major champions Hyo Joo Kim, Jin Young Ko, Minjee Lee, Stacy Lewis and Anna Nordqvist. The 2026 playing saw Hyo Joo Kim withstand a final-round charge from Nelly Korda, securing a wire-to-wire victory just one stroke ahead of Korda.

Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club has been an active part of the Menlo Park community for more than 60 years. Originally designed in 1962 by renowned architect Jack Fleming (a protégé of Alister MacKenzie), the course was adjusted by several architects through the years prior to a major renovation conducted in 2023. The renovation was carried out by architect Todd Eckenrode and Origins Golf Design and features an improved layout and enhanced commitment to sustainability. Since reopening in 2024, the course has garnered multiple renovation-of-the-year awards. The design intentionally showcases the beauty of the region with natural meadows, seasonal creeks and fairways lined with native California oak and sycamore trees.
