Tia Martin is in her fourth season as a content producer for the LPGA and currently resides in Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2022 with a degree in Journalism where she got her start in golf media covering the Badger men's and women's programs.
The 2026 the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G is celebrating 20 years. Hosted at Pinnacle Country Club in Rogers, Arkansas, the tournament has been running strong since 2007.
The initial playing saw Stacy Lewis take the title. The 21-year-old amateur was already a three-time All-American at the University of Arkansas and stepped firmly onto the professional stage, shooting a 7-under-par 65 in the first round. The tournament was eventually rained out after that first round. Lewis won again in 2014 with a 12-under-par 201.
Since then, 14 other players have won the tournament.
Yani Tseng was the first repeat winner, claiming the title in 2010 and 2011. She moved to No. 1 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings shortly after her first title in Arkansas and won four other titles between her two Walmart NWA Championship wins. Many other decorated veterans and current players have won this event. Jiyai Shin won in 2009, her rookie season. The former Rolex Rankings No. 1 player was fresh off two early-season titles and three LPGA wins as an amateur the season prior. She took home the title at Pinnacle in a two-hole sudden-death playoff against Angela Stanford and Sun Young Yoo. Shin went on to finish that season at the top of the money list and was named the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year.
Another former Rolex Rankings No. 1, Ai Miyazato, won the tournament in 2012. This marked her final win as an LPGA Tour member.
Inbee Park claimed the title the following year, finishing with a 12-under-par 201. She defeated fellow Republic of Korea’s So Yeon Ryu in a one-hole playoff. The newly minted No. 1 won five other titles that season, including three major championships, and won Rolex Player of the Year honors.
Ryu got her turn in 2017, winning with an 18-under-par 195 with no playoff needed. She became Rolex Rankings No. 1 immediately following her win in Arkansas.
A young Lydia Ko claimed the title in 2016 with a 17-under-par 196, three strokes ahead of the field. The victory marked her 13th career win. She was the top-ranked player at the time and went on to become the youngest winner of the Rolex Player of the Year later that season at 18 years old.
Sung Hyun Park returned to World No. 1 after winning the title in Arkansas in 2019. Her 18-under-par 195 helped her regain the top ranking in the world after spending six weeks there previously.
Jeeno Thitikul won the event in 2022 with a 17-under-par 196 after defeating Danielle Kang in a two-hole playoff. Her second win as an LPGA rookie, she was named the Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year later that season. She moved to the top of the world rankings a month after her win in Arkansas.
In 2023, Haeran Ryu won with a 19-under-par 194 to hold a three-stroke advantage over the field. Her win at Pinnacle Country Club was her first title as an LPGA rookie and helped propel her to Louise Suggs Rolex Rookie of the Year honors.
The last champion of the Walmart NWA Championship presented by P&G was Jasmine Suwannapura in 2024. She won in a two-hole playoff against Lucy Li. In 2025, the tournament was shortened to 18 holes due to more than 3 inches of rain making the course unplayable.
