Mirabel Ting of Malaysia (L) is presented the award for best Malaysian player by Maybank CEO Khairussaleh Ramli at the award ceremony following the final round of the Maybank Championship 2026 at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club on November 01, 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Jennifer Meyer is the Manager of Digital Operations. Jennifer has worked with the LPGA for more than a decade, working with the LPGA and Epson Tours to manage, develop, maintain, and update website content.

Mirabel Ting capped off an extraordinary campaign on the Epson Tour by finishing as the top Malaysian golfer at the Maybank Championship at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, posting a 5-under-par 283 total with rounds of 75, 68, 69, and 71.

The impressive performance on home soil served as a celebratory victory lap following a historic 2026 season on the Epson Tour, where Ting finished at the top of the Race for the Card standings to secure her LPGA Tour membership for 2027.

Ting dominated the LPGA’s Official Qualifying Tour throughout the year, making 17 cuts in 19 starts and leading the tour with $191,127 in official earnings. Over the course of the season, she accumulated 12 top-10 finishes, highlighted by victories at the Smoky Mountain Championship by Food City and the Dream First Bank Charity Classic.

Her exceptional consistency earned her both the Epson Tour Player of the Year honors and the Gaelle Truet Rookie of the Year award, alongside finishing first in the Race for the Card standings.

Reflecting on her final round performance at the Maybank Championship, Ting acknowledged the physical and mental tests of the course while remaining positive about her 1-under 71 finish.

“It was tough but I still finished under par which is a good thing," Ting said. "Again, it's always tough to see the putts not dropping. Couple of mistakes on putting today; I think that's about it."

Having turned professional in 2025, the Epson Tour graduate’s rapid rise to the top tier of women’s golf comes after just two years in the professional ranks. As she prepares to transition to the LPGA Tour for the 2027 season, she maintains a grounded approach to her rookie year among the world's best.

"I'm not expecting much my first year on LPGA," Ting said regarding her outlook for the upcoming season. "I'm just going out there and play as much tournaments as I can as a rookie and go out there and enjoy myself.”

A key factor in her preparation and comfort on tour will be family support during the grueling travel schedule required at the highest level of professional golf.

"Have my sister traveling with me and I'll see my coach very often on the road, so pretty excited for that," Ting added. "Just excited for what's coming for me and my sister traveling together."

With full LPGA Tour status officially locked in for 2027, Ting stands poised to represent Malaysia on golf's biggest stage following one of the most dominant individual seasons in recent Epson Tour history.
